Air Conditioner Is Back On

Yesterday, the temperature was in 80 degrees both inside and outside the house. My husband came home from work, and he was hot. He would prefer winter over summer because he could not stand of a hot days and nights. Moving to Philippines will be a great challenge. There is Air Conditioner but it will only be in the house but outside it is all year sunny.

He decided to turned the Air Conditioner on yesterday as he was sweating and even our daughter. They both could not stand to a temperature likes that. He did the cleaning, vacuuming and everything. He also put an electric fan in our bedroom and to our daughter's bedroom so that we could sleep well at nights. The temperature here in the house is cool and not too cold. Lasts night, we all slept well and woke up all in good mood. So thankful that Air Conditioner has been invented. I could live without Air Conditioner but not my husband and my daughter.

Work Boots Shoes

It was Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m. when I thought that my husband arrived from Midas for his Mazda pick up truck inspection. I heard something that was pulling in our driveway, stopped, parked and open the driver's door. It was time for my husband to be home as he told me that pick up truck inspection will take 30 minutes to one hour and it was already over a hour.

Five minutes later, he was still not knocking on our door and I was getting pissed as we are going to Walmart for our grocery shopping. Pissed off in a way that what was taking him so long to get in the house. I decided to grabbed my purse and we went outside to check what he was doing. To my surprised I saw a box of Work Boots placed in our back porch. I thought my husband went to shoe store to buy a pair of Work Boots. There was a paper on top of the shoe box and it say's Merry Christmas. I was puzzled. Look around and did not see my husband's Mazda's pick up truck. Smelled strong tobaccos, it was really weird and even our daughter smelled it.

This time, i was no longer pissed but I was kind of worried. Three minutes later, my husband arrived and was smiling I told him about the shoes, the pair of work boots and he said he was aware about the shoes as he saw his best buddy on the road they stopped and his buddy told him about the shoes but it was not specific what kind of shoes. My husband thought shoes for our daughter.

The funny thing was that the work boots was size ten and a half while my husband wear size 11 and my husband could not wear them. His buddy called him and they talked about the work boots and they both decided to give it to other friend who wear the said size. They are cute and they had been best friend for a very long time and still get along so well.

The Wooden Bowl

I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now. A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.

When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. We must do something about father, said the son. I have had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor. So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched it all in silence. One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, What are you making? Just as sweetly, the boy responded, Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up. The four-year-old smiled and went back to work. The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled. On a positive note, I have learned that, no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I have learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles four things: A rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I have learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making a life. I have learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I have learned that you should not go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back sometimes. I have learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you but, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

I have learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I have learned that even when I have pains, I do not have to be one. I have learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch~ holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I have learned that I still have a lot to learn.

Doomsday Saturday May 21

I had no idea about this going on Doomsday in Saturday May 21, 2011 not until I turned the computer on Friday and saw those believers of Doomsday~ claiming that the world was going to end in Saturday which was May 21st. It was indeed a beautiful day where we spent time outside and enjoying the sunny day.

This morning in our local news they reported that the believers of Doomsday sold everything that they had and now planning to sue the person that started it. Their fault as they have their own mind so why sue the person? Only GOD knows when he is going to end the world. No human can tells the exact date, time, month or year. We just need to be good and be pure in everything we do.

There are signs of fire, water and wind but does not mean the world is going to end. Tornadoes, severe weather, tsunamis and earthquakes happening everywhere in the world but still we have no right to tell and announce the end of the world because we are not the creator of the world.

Direct Start TV

Monster Camp

Contribution by Kennith Griffin

I love watching a plethora of different things on my Cable TV, but nothing hits my heart and captures my eye more than good documentary movie or show. I love documentaries and can normally be found watching one at least once a week. I have watched and heard of almost every single documentary that has even been made. My last favorite was called Monster Camp and it was one that I truly liked. It was about these gamer people who would go to t! ournaments and actually reenact their gaming experience. Somewhat a tribute to World of Warcraft, if you will. It was so much fun to watch because it actually looked pretty interesting and something I might even be interested in doing.

The reason I love these types of movies is because they take you into other peoples lives. I can actually escape from the stress of my own and go and stay with these people for just an hour or two. It's really great fun and I'm always looking for the next best movie to watch and am always asking my friends and relatives if they know of a good one to watch so that I might be able to sit back on a day that I happen to be off and I can relax and watch what they have told me is pretty good.
