3 Piece Luggage Set for Travel

I am planning of going back to Philippines again with my two kids. When I was checking for our luggage the other day I noticed some of the zippers were not working right. And, noticed some stain that I believed would be hard to remove. Plus, I don't know how to wash a luggage. 

Clearly, we need a new set of luggage to travel back to Philippines. My daughter likes PINK color. When I saw this 3 sets of PINK luggage, I right away thinks of my daughter. The set is from HEYS LUSTRO for $149.00. Oh, what a great buy!

Florida is a great place to own a vacation home but that doesn't mean it's cheap. I feel like we spend a lot of time worrying about maintaining the place and paying all of the contractors that keep it up, like the gardeners, and housekeepers, in the property management company. I love that we can just get in the car and drive a few hours to our very own home when we want to get away but sometimes I feel really locked in to Crystal Lake.

We recently had Crystal Lake clear wireless internet installed so at least one of their I don't feel as cut off from work but there are definitely times when I wonder what a vacation would be like in another place like Panama City or even the Dominican Republic. I think at the end of the day this house was a great investment for my husband and I and I don't regret it but there are moments when I wonder if owning a vacation home is more trouble than it's worth.

Another Friend's Vacation..

I received a call yesterday from a friend. We talked about blogging matter as she was confused and encountered some problem. I hope that everything will be straightened out before she leave for a vacation. She is going to Philippines for a vacation. They already have the airplane tickets and they are going to leave this Wednesday!

How I wish I could go but that is impossible for the plane ticket is so expensive. She was lucky to purchased hers for  under $3,000- when we went to Philippines lasts year, my husband paid almost $4,000 for two airplane tickets. Wishing her all the luck and a happy, safe trip!

Food Served Killed Passenger

Sad case of a passenger that was been served food while on board- he chose chicken and on the ground at JFK, it was apparent that something was wrong. The passenger became pale, had stomach cramps and  was suddenly very thirsty, symptoms consistent with food poisoning in a typical time-frame.

According to the wife's victim that the was "expressed and obvious" to AA staff. Boarding anyway, things took a turn for the worse quickly with the victim presenting nausea and shortness of breath which preceded a heart attack. He was pronounced dead in Norfolk, Virginia where the plane made an emergency landing, albeit too late.

The family  had filed suit against AA and Sky Chefs, the airplane catering company that apparently prepared the meal.

The lawsuit, reported to be in excess of $1 million by Tourism and Aviation has the four points:

~ The chicken was poisoned

~ AA was negligent for even allowing the passenger on board the flight in the first place.

~ AA failed to provide medical attention

~ AA waited too long for an emergency landing

We went to Harrisburg to celebrate a late Thanksgiving with my husband's family. One of his sister brought her camera because she wants to take a picture for each family. Our daughter is 4 year old and I do not know why she was really being silly at that time. I guess, she was being influence by her 8 year old  cousin. It was our family turn to have the picture taken but instead of smiling for camera she would pretend and create a sound of a dog. I bet the picture would not be as good as it is expected.

Air Traffic Controllers Responsibilities

How worried and safety are you every time you get in the airplane? For me, is come what may as i could not say if the flight will be safe or not. I trust the LORD and the pilot of the airplane. Had been to Philippines in December of lasts year and our route from New York to Japan for a grueling 12 hours doing sitting and eating all the time. It did happened again on our way back home we experienced another 12 hours of grueling flight from Japan to New York.

Things happen unexpectedly and being in the airplane as a passenger is not easy you cannot see down under windows are close and you are up in the air for thousands and thousands of miles from the ground. Pilots and Air traffic Controllers they communicate to make the landings safety or the route safety of the airplanes. Working at night is not fun at all. My husband was been working at night shift before and he did not like it so he quit his job.

To work night shift makes you sleepy. Have to keep drinking coffee to keep you awake or eat anything, drink vitamins or energy drinks to keep you awake. There were reports about Air Traffic Controllers being in trouble. Majority of the reports about  Air Traffic Controllers was falling asleep while on duties. Thousands or hundreds of lives of airplane passengers relied to them because they are responsible of telling the Pilot where and when to land or takes the airplane off safely. 

Travel Asia

One of my favorite channel to watch is the travel channel their two programs hosted individually by Anthony the no reservation and the bizarre food by Andrew. They feature different cuisine from all over the world. English and Non- English people.

The last time that i watched no reservation was the other day and they where in Cambodia. I checked the information about the show and it said Anthony gets near bald because of translation error and it made me laughed and curious to what part of the show he was almost got bald.

The barber and the person they hired to translate the Cambodian language into English was wrong so that is what happen. Majority of Asian people do not speak English it is difficult to go to places like that.

Lucky Cellphone

This cell phone likes to travel internationally. My husband bought two cell phones and he sent this one to me while i was still in the Philippines waiting my visa to be approved. I came to the USA and my brother want a cell phone so i decided to sent this cell phone to him. He took this to some place where they can make it work. It was been his cell phone for three years.

Time came and we had to go back to the USA me and my daughter and i do not have any source for communication and i badly need it. My family was worried thinking of me and my daughter waiting long hours in manila so i borrowed the cell phone and now i have this in my care.

Last month i sent a package to my family and the cell phone should be inside as my brother needs it but i forgot to put it inside. Called my brother and told him that i am just going to give him some money to buy a new cell phone and at the same time my advance birthday present to him. He was so happy and yes, he has his new cell phone but still i am going to send this old cell phone back to him. 

Delta Skymiles Cards Are Here

Before flying to Philippines for our vacation i knew a friend who have her own Delta Sky miles Card and told me the advantages of it. Fortunately, while my husband was browsing and made himself busy looking for a great deal tickets for me and my daughter he ended calling the same travel agency and purchased our tickets.

We flown to Philippines via Delta airlines back and forth. Before everything else i checked their website and join their Delta Sky miles. Now, i am an official member they said that i would received my card 4-6 weeks but gosh, it took almost three months for me to received the cards one for me and one for my daughter and i was surprised with it as my daughter got her own too though i did not sign up for her. 

Philippine Vacation 2010 - 2011

December first of 2010 when my daughter and i  left our US residence for Philippine vacation a little over two months ago. There were myriad emotion involved while stepping out the door's house knowing that my husband would be alone for the very first time and to see the reaction of my family and for them to see my daughter for the very first time and was not sure how my daughter's going to react towards my family.

The travel from JFK airport going to Japan was been smooth and from Japan to Manila was too. My daughter managed her traveling experienced so well i was impressed as it was her first time to be in the plane surrounded with passengers who were all strangers to her.

We met good people and made some good friends. We reached NAIA airport in December second which is an international airport in Philippines and rode a shuttle bus that took us to PAL for our domestic flight the next day/morning which was in December third still were lucky enough to met and made some friends. The manila to our domestic flight was been fine at first and towards the end of the flight my daughter started crying, throwing tantrums. Took her to the lavatory and we spent our last 20 minutes inside pampering her, calming her down but she was really terrible and kept saying she was HOT! Poor little girl.

Such a great moment to see my family outside the arrival area. Daughter first reaction was so silent and gradually started to warmed herself up and started talking to everybody specially to my niece Nicole whose over four years old, a year older than my daughter.
