The Precious Mothers

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. To Jessica and Charisse, Happy Mother's Day my dear friends. I hope that your husband will give you something on the said occasion as you deserve it. I am not expecting anything from my husband but going out for dinner tonight will be good enough to celebrate the occasion.As a first time mothers, we conquered everything and facing the obstacles of being alone in this foreign countries. We thought that we are weak but we are wrong. My friends, we are stronger than we thought. Our children are now all growing and I knew how much thankful and lucky they are having a mom likes us.

To my mother, I love you with all my heart. You are always in my mind and you will always be my number one mother forever! We are parted but my thoughts and love is always there for you. Thank you for bringing me to this world and for always there for me no matter what. I take your advises seriously and because of those advises I achieved my dreams. Thank's for all the support that you had been given to me, mom. To my aunties, happy mother's day too!

Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

I am tired and sick of having a traditional vacuum that requires vacuum bag to replace whenever it gets full. Costly, as we have to buy vacuum bags every time we run out of available bags. Lasts week we went to Walmart to buy the vacuum bags but they were out of stock, the kind and size that we need for our vacuum. Vacuum bags are expensive there are only three bags in a pack for almost six dollars.

We bought a dirt devil wireless vacuum before. It was my idea, i liked it very much light weight and bag less. Therefore, smart and very economical by saving our budget from buying vacuum bags. All you have to do is to empty the canister which is not a hard work. The only problem of a wireless vacuum was it does not lasts longer that i expected. My husband would charged the battery for over night and when i used it the next day would not even lasts for two hours. What a pain in our electric bill. That part was the big problem so we returned the bag less and wire less vacuum and we got our money bag. Thank's GOD!

There are so many new models out there of vacuum, and they are more innovative and more unique. I was checking the prices Saturday not bad for all the benefits that a vacuum cleaner cans do or offers. It is time for us to get a new one though our vacuum is like over a year old but i am getting tired of it. I want the kind of vacuum cleaner that has the steamer come with it. I want to clean and steam our carpet all the time. We have cat and her hair could be all over the place. Safer to have a clean floor.

Credit Card

I do not have a credit which i am planning of applying and getting one but to apply for a credit card you must have a source of dependable monthly income. There are requirements that need to be meet. I bet i will not be qualified as i am not working but my husband can gets one if he will agree. He had a credit card before but unfortunately, his identity was taken by a thief. Lesson learn from that experienced that was been bugging us for a long time. It was very expensive and time consuming as my husband fought for his right and hired a lawyer to solve the case.

Credit card is something that we have and i can really see the importance of it. As a credit card owner just need to be careful and avoid swiping it for everyday purchase. The credit card is advantage whenever there are emergency financial problems. Friends after friends they mostly have their own credit card but wisely credit card is not free of charge you have to pay the credit card company at the end of the month and you will be in trouble if you cannot pay on time. Interest gets higher and piled up so there are advantages and disadvantages of  owning a credit card.

For now, i must be content of what i have. I have a nothing to worry about the monthly interest to pay or to expect for any monthly billing statement from any credit card company and most of all has a nothing to worry about ruining a credit score. I am using my debit card and i am good for now.

Mommy's Copy Cat

When i knew that i was pregnant the very first thing in my mind is to have a baby boy.  It is not a secret that it is very difficult to conceive a baby boy. As a mom to be i want to raise a boy as my eldest child. Time for my first ultra sound appointment and to see my baby in my womb was unbelievable and that time she was too little to determine her gender.

Second ultrasound came, technician was having a hard time figuring it out as my baby was kicking here and there she could not stopped moving herself even for a minute or few seconds. I remembered i was the last patient at that time and it was surely getting late and i was ready to get up and leave the place but my technician was not giving up i knew it was her job.

She told me that she was 85 percent that my baby is a girl because we both saw in the monitor that my baby kicked her forehead and she said that she encountered many situations like that and only baby girls doing it. Reluctantly, i said it could still be a boy.

The moment arrived and we have a baby girl name Cassandra and i could not asked for more. She was perfectly healthy and so adorable. I am a first time mom and hard to explained the feeling but for sure happiness and joy were felt!

She is now over three years old and mommy's little copy cat. Every time she sees me going in the bathroom she would follow me. Whenever i put lotion, palmer's cocoa butter, deodorant and make up she would asked if she can put them too. She is such a joy to our life. GOD is so good!  

Skinny, Me?

When i was single i tend to weighed 100 pounds and now married and got pregnant with all those baby fats and everything i weighed up to 125 pounds. Tried really hard and struggling for three years to lost some pounds but then i would gain them back!

Christmas of 2010 we were in Philippines. Family, relatives and friends were shocked that my figure was not the same anymore. My mom did all the cooking, brother and sister did the rest of the chores. I was treated like a queen as i was so relaxed and spoiled.

A month after, my mom told me that i lost some weight which made me happy. We left Philippines and my sister-in-law visited and saw me after two months of being away. She told me that i look like i lost some pounds and yes, i did lost five pounds. A  month after which was yesterday she visited us again and she was shocked and told me that i am skinny!

Skinny? I weighed 115 pounds and i feel good. She told me to eat and eat more to gain some pounds back. No way, it is very hard to shed those pounds. I am going to stay on my diet as i am happy of how i look. Still want to lost five more pounds.

Final Goodbye

The time finally came last night when my husband got home from work. He relaxed for a while and started looking for a place where we can buried our dear cat, Sasha. Found a perfect spot for her she was buried under the pine tree in our back yard. Our daughter grabbed her own plastic shovel and helped her daddy digging the dirt out.

Everyone was sad as it was the final goodbye. We pet Sasha the last time before putting her to her grave. My husband was so quiet i knew why because it was so hard for him to buried his own precious  cat.

Last night, Payne was so noisy and restless i bet she was looking for Sasha it took awhile for her to stopped and i felt so bad for her.This weekend we are going to make a cross for Sasha as we already put a headstone for her grave. Too bad she died and no flowers that we can give to her as spring just started and my tulips do not have flowers yet. 

We Love You, Sasha

Family is mourning right now as Sasha our cat passes away last night was not been discovered until this morning when my husband got up to start his morning. Sasha was been so weak for the last two days and yesterday i noticed that she did not eat anything nor drink any water. She was down on the kitchen floor and was sleeping. I stared to her last night before going to bed trying to see any beat from her body but it seems none i thought that she would still make it the next day or so.  

This morning i asked my husband about Sasha as she was not there anymore where i last saw her last night and he said Sasha is gone, she is no longer with us. I expected that to come but not that saddened. She was more than 20 years old very long life for a cat. Our daughter asked and was looking for Sasha too and we told her that Sasha is in kitty cat's heaven.  

Tonight, when my husband gets home from work we are going to dig a hole to buried Sasha and send a prayer for the worm not to eat Sasha as our daughter said she does not want the worms to eat Sasha's body. Seriously, i am sad the family is sad. We will miss Sasha forever as she was such a beautiful and playful cat. Rest in peace Sasha. We all love you! 

Lucky Cellphone

This cell phone likes to travel internationally. My husband bought two cell phones and he sent this one to me while i was still in the Philippines waiting my visa to be approved. I came to the USA and my brother want a cell phone so i decided to sent this cell phone to him. He took this to some place where they can make it work. It was been his cell phone for three years.

Time came and we had to go back to the USA me and my daughter and i do not have any source for communication and i badly need it. My family was worried thinking of me and my daughter waiting long hours in manila so i borrowed the cell phone and now i have this in my care.

Last month i sent a package to my family and the cell phone should be inside as my brother needs it but i forgot to put it inside. Called my brother and told him that i am just going to give him some money to buy a new cell phone and at the same time my advance birthday present to him. He was so happy and yes, he has his new cell phone but still i am going to send this old cell phone back to him. 

Innocent Question

Two days ago, i changed our screen saver photo and to begin with it was our daughter's photo by herself and then i decided to change it together with her friends that we met before at the airport.

My three year old daughter saw the photo and she said  mommy, they are my friends talking about those girls in the photo with her. Thought that it was it but before shutting down our computer she asked me how her and her friends can get out from the computer. I looked at her and just chuckled as i never expected her to came up with that question. Innocently asked but she made her own point and i understood and just explain it to her.

People would say if you have a problem and want someone to talk to then little kids are the best remedies because they are so innocent, their thoughts are pure and direct. They do not know how to pretend as they will give you their honest opinion and ideas and they will ask just anything and those are the best part.

My sister- in- law every time she call me on the phone there was never a time that she miss asking me about my daughter's new and cute lines and when i shared to her then she would be laughing and would say she is such a stinker . That is my sister-in-law's famous line. 

I love kids and really enjoyed them as they are so curious in all aspects and though they are only kids but still you can learn things from them so never belittled them.

I miss being a kid when life was easy and simple. No complication as you have no husband and kids to worry and cared about all you have to mind is your friends and games that you are going to play the next day or so.

Philippine Mangoes

Mangoes, mangoes. Every time we go for grocery shopping i always look for mangoes. I able to adjust my palate when it comes to the mangoes here though the mangoes here were not labeled from USA it would either be coming from Mexico, Cuba, Brazil and other countries. Nothing can bet the taste and sweetness of Philippine mangoes.

When summer comes yellow mangoes are available at the Asian store and each piece is so expensive i did bought some last summer but still it was not as sweet like Philippine mangoes.

The kind of mangoes that i am buying now they look like  apple mango that we called in Philippines which is known of being lack of sweetness or worse tasteless. They still get ripe and i preferred my mangoes to be ripen before eating them. Now, my two mangoes are ripe and ready to be eaten. Surely, one for me and one for my daughter. Husband is not crazy about this kind of fruit. 

Morning Coffee

I am up early this morning my computer time says six o'clock  which is unusual for me. I set my own fault being lazy and most of all being forgetful.

Ninety five percent i  remembered getting the coffee ready almost every night for my husband the next morning as he gets up early and getting himself ready for work though it was somewhat awkward and i am sorry moment as i forgot to get the coffee ready i told my husband that i am going to get up and get his coffee even my body wants to stay longer on the bed of roses.

Now, have troubled going back to bed so i decided to just post something here. Glad it is Saturday. My husband is not in a hurry of getting late to work. Thank's GOD 

My Little American

I remembered my daughter when she was in the stage of hating being accessorized her hair and as a mother i was buying girl stuff from hair clips to clothes, shoes and little purses and everything that i see cute for her. She was defiant especially when it comes to hair clips she would pulled them off and threw them as far as she could with tears falling.

When we were off for a short vacation to Philippines things were affordable and i bought her some hair clips and other things and i was amazed that she would let me put hair clips or these little colorful rubber band to her hair and thought that it was only for the meantime but i am thankful that even though were now back here to were we belong she still wanted her hair clips.

Yesterday, she got a shower, and hair was still wet, water drips and told her that her hair needs to be toweled well first and wait until it gets totally dry. She grabbed the combed and asked me to combed her hair and insisted of putting hair clips to her hair to avoid making a scene i did put her hair clips and she looks so cute and so adorable.

This is what i was waiting and now it came true. I like to buy girl stuffs for her and see her like a baby doll. And before she went off to bed last night she asked me to take her hair accessories off. 

Fortune Cookies

Last Sunday when the family went to this Chinese restaurant and they always include fortune cookies. There were three of us so we got three cookies too. My husband handed me one cookie, open and got that little paper that was in the middle of the cookie to my surprise it says 

   "you have a potential urge and the ability for accomplishment" 

I am trying to accomplish something and i knew that if i am just keep going i will get it and it will pays me off at the right time. Will not  be long i wish. 

       

Valentines Day Gifts

Never thought that me and my daughter would received something last night from my husband for valentines day. We got up in the morning and he left  for work as usual. Nothing was given to me so i did not expect that he would do something for the occasion.

Time for him to be home and still no husband around it was getting late and finally, somebody pulled in our driveway and it was him. He was holding two paper bags and each has something inside. He gave the small bag to our daughter and it was her valentines day gift from her daddy. 

My husband is still full if surprises. I love the fact that he always consider our daughter for any important occasion. Since we had our daughter she never ever missed a chance of receiving any gifts for valentines day. My hubby always includes her. He would buy gifts for me and for our daughter too. This just showing what kind of father/husband he is and how fair he is to his family.

Was sorry for not buying anything for hubby but he understood it and he knows how much i love him and how dear he is to me. Still many valentines day to comes and i knew in my heart that it is not going to be late to do my part.

Therefore, our valentines was still happily celebrated and was celebrated on time along with many people/lovers around the world. 

Hearts Day

Valentines day is a heart day for everybody i would giggle to the thoughts that this particular occasion is being celebrated with couples, lovers and many of red colors, flowers and chocolates are so visible and saleable. Red is one of my favorite color and good  to know that there are still people celebrating LOVE.

My husband is a romantic person he always had something for me every valentines day not so expensive nor so big but definitely coming from his heart and his warm thoughts. Well, we do celebrate love all the time as a husband and wife each and everyday only February 14th is marked and being remembered and celebrated all over the world and it unites everybody to do the same things celebrating loves.

Have no idea what is going to happen tonight. Will i  receive something or what but if there is none i will be fine and still be thankful and still love my husband as ever. 

College Buffet

Last night, we had a dinner over at college buffet it is a Chinese restaurant and yes it saves me from cooking dinner. Was gone for two months and was surprise to see different faces of servants. This place is so intriguing as they often employed different people whatever the reasoned it is their business.

Anyway, back to their foods i was happy though i thought that i would be pigging myself out there for the fact that i quietly did not eat good lunch yesterday even my daughter she did not  ate that good too for lunch.

I ate sushi with chili sauce and it was good but was not really crazy over it, roasted duck that i did not even had a big bite, mussels with melted white cheese on top, mushrooms, beef steak, stir fried vegetables, salmon fish, fried rice and other but each of this food was just like a couple nor bite sizes only. I would say it was because i was not really craving yet for Asian serve food.

It was too much to be charge six dollar and something for our three year old daughter as she did not really ate that much either. She had some fruits little of each kind and ice cream but it is the rules that once you enter to their restaurant with a kids three years and up they will charge them full.

Was been a good day yesterday i was been productive and now, slowly catching up with things with my chores. Sun is up today and i love it. 

Her 3rd Birthday

Sitting on her picnic table whiles waiting the guests to arrive. Our daughter celebrated her third birthday in July 31st i forgot to post a picture from her birthday its been awhile now that i have not updated this blog, lazy me again.

Anyway, we had a great celebration and it was fun! Cakes, ice cream, spaghetti represents for life longevity Filipino believes. And other food to made the guests stomach full.

She is three and cannot be denied that she is growing more and more each day and her infancy was gone, part of history  but yet will be treasured and will be remembered like it only happened yesterday. Mommy and daddy are getting older and so our little princess. 

My wedding song

When first heard this song played in the radio i knew then that i want this particular song to be played in my wedding and so it happened and the song writer and singer itself was so really into it.

Catchy every word could carried your emotion away. Really proud that i had this and some of David songs played in my wedding. Everybody loves it and all left and said nothing but a positive comment. I am so in love with this.
